Daria Kuczer (BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała) triumphed in the Fale Loki Koki Cup in Bydgoszcz for the second time in her career. The Polish player thus repeated her success from two years ago, when she also claimed victory in the ITF W35 tournament held on the courts of Klub Centrum.
In Sunday's final, Kuczer fought an exceptionally fierce duel against Ukraine's Yelyzaveta Kotliar. The fate of the first two sets was decided in tie-breaks, and ultimately the BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała representative won 6:7 (6-8), 7:6 (7-5), 6:1.
For Daria, this was another very successful performance following her return to Tour competition. In late June, she reached the quarterfinals of the ITF W50 RokitkiPark Open tournament on the courts of the Gdańsk Tennis Academy. On the first weekend of August, she played in the doubles final of a tournament of the same category in Knokke-Heist. In Belgium, her partner was Sandra Samir, with whom Kuczer also reached the quarterfinals of the Bydgoszcz tournament.
At the Fale Loki Koki Cup, Daria was the only Polish player to advance to the singles top eight. Her performance in Bydgoszcz thus concluded not only with her second career triumph in this tournament, but also as another confirmation of her very good form after returning to international courts.
However, this is not the end. Directly from Bydgoszcz, Daria traveled to Kraków, where next week she will compete in an ITF W35 tournament. Kuczer received Special Exempt status, earning her a spot in the main draw of the event.
In Kraków, we will also see Sandra Samir again, with whom Daria successfully competed in doubles. This is another opportunity to follow our player's performances on domestic courts and cheer her on in the battle for further victories.
