BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała homegrown player Miłosz Szczypka teamed up with South Africa's Alec Beckley. The duo reached the final, where they faced Italian Matteo Fondriest and Bulgarian Nikola Keremdchiev.
In the decisive match, Beckley and Szczypka won the first set 6-4, but their opponents responded decisively in the second set, winning 6-1. The title was decided by a super tie-break, in which Fondriest and Keremdchiev triumphed 10-4.
For Szczypka, reaching the final itself was a very good result and another valuable experience gained in front of a home crowd. Interestingly, a few days earlier Beckley had eliminated the Bielsko-Biała native from the singles tournament, after which the two joined forces in doubles and made it all the way to the championship match together.
