Great news from Stalowa Wola, where the LOTTO 99th Polish National Men’s and Women’s Championships are being held. Karol Filar won the gold medal in men’s singles, while Daria Kuczer returns from the tournament with two medals – gold and bronze!
Karol Filar champion after two tough matches in one day!
Karol Filar made his mark on this year’s championships by winning the Polish men’s singles title despite difficult weather conditions and a demanding schedule.
Because of delays caused by unfavourable weather, Karol had to play two demanding matches in one day. In the semi-final, he defeated Tomasz Berkieta of WKT MERA Warszawa, and in the final – after a hard-fought match – he overcame Dorian Juszczak representing SKT Szczecin.

Daria Kuczer also performed superbly on the MKT Stalowa Wola courts, winning two medals at this year’s championships.
Partnering Weronika Falkowska (KS “Górnik” Bytom), she won the women’s doubles gold medal, defeating the duo Oriana Gniewkowska/Sara Husar in the final.
Daria also won a bronze medal in singles. In the semi-final she lost to her doubles partner Weronika Falkowska, with whom she had won the championship title the previous day.
