Two BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała players – Katarzyna Kawa and Linda Klimovicova – have been selected for the Polish national team for the Billie Jean King Cup Group B qualifying tournament, to be held from 14–16 November at the modern Arena Gorzów in Gorzów Wielkopolski. This special event will determine qualification for the world elite of women’s team tennis.
Alongside our club players, Poland will also be represented by Iga Świątek, the leader of Polish tennis and world No. 2 in the WTA rankings, and Martyna Kubka (WKT Mera Warszawa).
For Katarzyna Kawa, this will be another national team call-up. She already has six nominations and 14 singles and doubles matches to her name. She last represented Poland in April during the group stage of qualifying held in Radom.
Linda Klimovicova, meanwhile, will make her senior national team debut – a major honour and an important step in her sporting career. The young BKT Advantage player has produced excellent performances on the domestic and international stage in recent months, and her call-up confirms her growing standing in Polish tennis.
At Arena Gorzów, Poland will fight to return to the group of the world’s top 14 teams, which will compete in April 2026 for places in the BJK Cup Finals in Shenzhen.
On 14 November, they will face New Zealand,
on 15 November, New Zealand will play Romania,
on 16 November, Poland will face Romania.
Each day of competition will begin at 3:00 p.m. – first with two singles matches, followed by the mandatory doubles rubber, which can often decide the final result.
