Ten Polish players have been drawn into the singles main draw of the ITF W15 BKT Advantage Cup in Bielsko-Biała, part of the LOTTO PZT Polish Tour – Polish National Cup 2025. Four of them are seeded.
Second seed Anna Hertel (AZS Poznań) is waiting to learn which qualifier she will face. Returning from injury, Gina Feistel (LOTTO PZT Team/WKS Grunwald Poznań) is seeded third and will meet Ukraine’s Anastasiia Firman in the first round. The sixth seed is Anna Rogozińska-Dzik (KS Górnik Bytom), who has drawn Czech Emma Slavikova.
Wild card entrant Sara Husar (KT Kubala Ustroń) also learned the name of her first opponent on Monday afternoon. She will open against fourth-seeded Czech Linda Sevcikova.
Seventh seed Marcelina Podlińska (KS Górnik Bytom) will begin against one of the qualifiers. On Sunday, Marcelina won her first professional singles title at the ITF W15 event in Savitaipale, Finland, where she defeated Hertel in the final.
The remaining Polish players in the main draw will learn their first-round opponents only on Tuesday afternoon, after qualifying is completed. They are wild card holder Amelia Paszun (AZS Poznań), and players entered by ranking: host-club representative and graduate Magdalena Baniak (BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała), Aleksandra Julia Zuchańska (WKT Mera Warszawa), Daria Górska and Zuzanna Kolonus (both Legia Warszawa).
Singles qualifying began on Monday on the clay courts of BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała at 20 Ceramiczna Street, with the final eight places in the BKT Advantage Cup 2025 main draw at stake. At least one Polish player will advance, as Nika Hurkacz (Come-on Tennis Club Wrocław) faces Olga Gołaś (SKT Szczecin) in the second and deciding round.
Also battling for places in the main draw on Tuesday morning will be Oriana Gniewskowska (Gdańska Akademia Tenisowa) against Czech Nela Jandova, Magdalena Hędrzak (KS Górnik Bytom) against another Czech, Klara Nina Kucikova, and Katarzyna Wysoczańska (UKS Sport Klub Wrocław) against Germany’s Annemarie Lazar.
Monday’s women’s qualifying opened a two-week tennis festival in Bielsko-Biała, where two professional ITF tournaments under the BKT Advantage Cup name will be held in consecutive weeks: a W15 and an M15, each with USD 15,000 in prize money.
Both are part of the LOTTO PZT Polish Tour – Polish National Cup 2025, which this year comprises a record 15 events: eight women’s and seven men’s tournaments.
