Karol Filar won the first professional title of his career on Sunday, taking the ITF M15 Kraków Open, part of the LOTTO PZT Polish Tour – Polish National Cup. In the final, the Pole defeated Ukrainian Wladyslaw Orlov – also representing BKT Advantage – 7:6 (11-9), 6:4. Orlov was seeded third in the draw
Karol has been in excellent form on Polish courts this summer. In July, he won the title at the LOTTO 99th Polish National Championships on the clay courts of Miejski Klub Tenisowy in Stalowa Wola.
A week earlier, he had recorded his first victory on the professional ITF World Tour in doubles, winning the title alongside Mikołaj Migdalski.
