Karol Filar – a player from Beskidzki Klub Tenisowy Advantage – won his second professional singles tournament on Sunday, triumphing at the ITF M15 event in Kuala Lumpur. In the final, he defeated Japan’s Yuta Kawahashi 6:3, 7:6 (7-3).
Linda Klimovicova came close to winning the ITF W100 tournament in Les Franqueses del Valles, Spain. In the final, she lost 5:7/6:7 to Latvia’s Darja Semenistaja.
Two BKT Advantage Bielsko-Biała players – Katarzyna Kawa and Linda Klimovicova – have been selected for the Polish national team for the Billie Jean King Cup Group B qualifying tournament, to be held from 14–16 November at the modern Arena Gorzów in Gorzów Wielkopolski. This special event will determine qualification for the world elite of women’s team tennis.
